WOW!!! This is long overdue! I feel I haven't talked to you guys in FOREVER! There is sooo much to fill you in on.
First of all, I really miss you guys!! I know you are probably wondering why my website has been under construction for so long. Well, for almost a year now, my label was running the site and we had created this beautiful new layout with all new photos from my photo shoot we shot last May and I kept wondering and waiting for them to launch it...and it never happened. (So I hope you enjoy the new site and all the new pics!!) Then as I was on the road last summer doing lots of radio promo for the new single "Summer Girl"...I found out that some of the regional promo people were going to be leaving Dreamworks (my label) and joining another company. This was the beginning of the end for Dreamworks. I was hearing about certain artists being dropped from the roster and it was so unsettling. Everything was unraveling during the time of promoting my new single. Then I got the news that I was no longer going to be on the roster. I immediately felt relief, like a burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I worked really hard on my record and I wanted to have a strong start with everything in place, unfortunately that just wasn't happening. Its crazy to think that Dreamworks doesn't exist anymore. I am so grateful to have shared alot of great times with them!! I wish everyone the best in their new journeys! So right now...I have a record that's completely finished and I am just trying to find the right home for it. I have been doing a lot of writing lately and would love to go back in the studio and start recording some new stuff. Who knows and maybe make a whole new record!! Then I could release two at the same time!! That would be interesting. I really can't wait for all this music biz crap and politics to be out of the way so I can just get back to making music and singing for you guys!! You know like old times!!!
Everything else is wonderful!! My family and Marcel are all doing great and they miss you too! I also have a new dog that Marcel surprised me with last year for my 21st birthday! Her name is Lucy and she is about 89lbs now!! Wow! I can't believe she's already a year old! If you have looked on Marcel's website in the last year....he has posted several pics of her.
